Popular Doxa Diving watches

The history of the Swiss watch brand, Doxa is quite an interesting one and thus goes some way to explaining why Doxa dive watches have become so popular to collect. The brand is today known for its excellent standards in watchmaking and workmanship and has specialised in dive watches during a very significant era – the 1960s and 1970s.

During this time, the call for dive watches for military and war use was much less. As a result, people began to take up diving as a hobby and turned to watches to assist with this. Dive watches during the 1960s were opened up for commercial use and were a pretty cool thing to own and collect. The brand’s strong orange dial was in high demand. Doxa has specialised in hand-assembling all of its own components to ensure the utmost durability and reliability of its popular dive watches. Doxa watches are also popular for their unmissable vintage-inspired aesthetics. Here is a guide to ten of the most popular Doxa dive watches.

Doxa Sub 1500T Aquamarine

The Doxa Sub 1500T comes in a range of dial colours that vary from vibrant yellow to a classic silver and the all-desirable orange version, however, it is the Aquamarine version of the Sub 1500T watch series that really exudes a cool and fresh look on the wrist. Perfect for wearing whilst on vacation, the bold aquamarine dial colour of this dive watch is paired with a cushion-shaped 316L stainless steel case, a helium escape valve for the releasing of pressure whilst under daring water depths, and of course, a 1500-meter water resistance. The Doxa Sub 1500T Aquamarine watch makes it to our guide to the top ten Doxa Dive watches, since it is primed for diverse underwater adventure and can withstand the toughest of challenges.

Doxa Watch Sub 1200T Caribbean

The Doxa Sub 1200T Caribbean watch presents the time on a deep blue dial and is framed by a stainless steel case that measures a broad 42.7mm diameter. Its bezel is the unidirectional rotating type, designed for measuring elapsed time whilst underwater without the risk of accidentally extending the remaining dive time. The Doxa Sub 1200T Caribbean is one of the most popular Doxa Dive tools – its desirability is enhanced all the more by the fact that Doxa only produced this model in a limited edition series. Its design is inspired by the 1969 Sub 300 Conquistador. The blue dial has a date indication at 3 o’clock, chunky white luminous hands, and is powered by a Swiss-made automatic movement.
